Kimmo Pohjonen has been nominated for the Nordic Council Music Prize, 2015.
Names of 11 nominees, all from the Nordic countries, were announced at the Bergen Festspillene Festival in Norway.
The prize worth 350,000 Danish kroner, or about 47,000 euros is awarded every year, alternating between composer and performing group. The aim is to reward artists with a high level of creating and performing music.
The winner will be announced at the Nordic Council Session in Reykjavik on October 27, when the prize will be awarded.
